ITS Project Manager- Remote + Night Shift + US-Based
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn about our company and the new Project Manager position that we have recently created! Our company, Safari One Business Solutions, is a Philippines-based corporation that supports the IT, accounting, finance, and various operational/logistical functions of Safari Micro, Inc.
Safari Micro was founded in 1997 and is a privately held, profitable, and well-established reseller of computer hardware and software and provider of IT services to corporations and governmental agencies/municipalities throughout the U.S. We are based in the U.S. in sunny Chandler, Arizona. Safari One Business Solutions has been based in the Philippines since 2013.
Since this will be a work-from-home role, we highly require that all candidates must have a dedicated office space at home and an extremely reliable, high-speed internet connection that can be verified.

Because this role will be directly supporting the U.S. team’s daytime operations, this person will be required to work on our night shift in the Philippines, which is from approximately 11:00 pm – 8:00 am, local Philippines time. Depending on the workload, our team can work up to 50 hours a week, but it's normally about 45 because we value our employees’ lives outside of work!

A day in a life…
You will work with a team of supportive and hardworking technical personnel. Your mission is to ensure that a quality project is delivered, on-time and within budget. You recognize the relevance and purpose of the PM role, and you will take responsibility for keeping the team cohesive, and engaged, and following established processes to keep the project running smoothly,
What you will do:
- You will be responsible for analyzing, planning, and developing requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects.
- You will initiate and maintain communication with the customer regarding the budget of a project and monitor how much budget has been consumed to date.
- Not just that, but you are tasked to communicate with the customer regarding the status of the project, ongoing tasks, future tasks, and completed tasks.
- As a manager, we need someone who is self-motivated as you will assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring that all team members are actively working toward established milestones.
- We also expect our Project Manager to hold regular team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
- Lastly, to determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
What you’ll need to be successful in this role…
- Must have a College Degree
- Preferably with Professional Project Management Certification from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head off obstacles.
Mandatory Soft Skills:
- You have experience working in a collaborative environment. You want to be part of a cohesive team of “drama-free” professionals who are responsible and show up to work regularly and on time.
- You are a genuinely good-hearted person who is enjoyable to work with. You have a very strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making. You take full responsibility for your work. - You have an extremely flexible personality and have the innate ability to effectively and rapidly change directions or re-prioritize tasks in an instant if needed. Project priorities can change in an instant in this business…you need to be able to flex with them for our clients.
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills in English. This is because you will be regularly communicating with our U.S.-based employees, management team, and external customers.
Compensation: 80,000 to 100,000 PHP/month
We are targeting a compensation range of 80,000 to 100,000 PHP/month for this vital role. However, we like to take a very “common sense” approach to compensation. If your “hands-on” experience looks to be an amazing match for what we need, and you have the personality to fit right in with our team, we may consider paying a higher salary. Obviously, the more relevant experience that you have, the higher the compensation level may be.
